Audie Murphy (June 20, 1925 – May 28, 1971) is probably the most famous actor of all who have ever lived in Menifee.  The most decorated World War II veteran according to Wikipedia. He also appeared in 49 films and which can be found on IMDB. He purchased a horse ranch in Menifee in the 1950s and painted a US flag on the roof in order to honor those pilots flying over from March Air Force base.
